Silvia Tavazzi is associate professor of Physics at University of Milano-Bicocca, Materials Science Department & COMiB research centre, Via Cozzi 55, I-20125 Milan (Italy).
She earned a Degree in Physics in 1999 and a PhD in Materials Science in 2002. Before 2012, her research activity was focused on the UV-visible optical properties of molecular materials. More recently, her main research activity has focused on optical systems and materials for applications in ophthalmic and optometric applications. She has been responsible for different research projects, and her research activities have led to the publication of 79 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals.
