

Violaine holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from ENSCP (Paris, 2003), a Masters in Material Sciences from Pierre et Marie Curie University (Paris, 2004) and completed a management & marketing programme at Unitech, ETH Zürich in 2003. She obtained her PhD in Material Sciences at IMN (Nantes) in 2008, studying organic-inorganic photochromic systems. She worked with different companies worldwide between 2002 and 2012, all in areas related to materials and optics (e.g. Agfa, L’Oréal and Procter&Gamble). She worked at Essilor from 2007 to 2009, then joined the company again in 2012, managing innovative systems such as X-chromism, plastic film forming and absorbing filtering mechanisms. She now holds the position Innovation Category Manager, focusing on the portfolio strategy for anti-reflective products.
